Analog PassThrough
What is the Analog Pass Through feature for?
Low-power TV, Class A and TV booster stations will remain in analog after the February 17, 2009 deadline because they are not mandated to broadcast digitally at this time. Booster stations typically serve communities that cannot receive free over-the-air TV stations because they’re too far away from a full-power TV station or because of geography. Many booster stations operate in mountainous or more remote areas of the country. For easy navigation between analog and digitally broadcasted channels, only a converter box like the Apex Digital DT250 with the “analog pass-through” feature will receive both signals without disconnecting and reconnecting equipment or relying on an accessory to route the different signals.
